Kindergarten Readiness Camp

What:
Building Blocks is school readiness camp that meets once a week for 4 weeks.  Instruction will focus on building and maintaining essential early school readiness skills.  Fun and interactive activities will be presented to encourage each child to gain skills and perform tasks at their just right skills level.

What will be taught?
Camp will focus on literacy building skills that is based on the Science of Reading and Wilson’s Fundations.

  • Letter and Sound recognition
  • Fine motor skills
  • Writing skills
  • Phonological Awareness
  • Phonemic Awareness
  • Friendship building and Social Interactions

When:
Monday 6/12, 6/19, 6/26 and 7/10  9 AM-10:30 AM 

Who:
Incoming and existing Kindergarten age children who would benefit from additional support to acquire skills or maintain skills learned in Kindergarten.

Meet Meghan
Meghan is an Ohio Licensed K-12 Reading Specialist with 22 years of teaching experience.  I am trained in Orton Gillingham and Wilson Fundations.  My passion is working with all types of children on their strengths and solidifying their specific skill gaps through a multi-sensory, encouraging, and supportive approach.
